The great room runs under high vaulted ceilings, open to the sea, with several seating corners rather than one big block. The kitchen opens straight to the indoor and outdoor dining areas, so cooking and hosting happen in the same space.
Outside is where La Favorita earns its name. The main infinity pool stretches nearly the full length of the terrace, with a gentle sloping entry, and an outdoor lounge and dining area sit at one end for sunset meals. For families, there is a separate plunge pool, a safe, shallow spot for children to play while the adults stay nearby. Tropical planting wraps the whole terrace for privacy.
The three suites are built for both views and quiet: two upstairs with private outdoor seating, and a lower-level master with its own covered terrace and lounge. The bathrooms are finished in tumbled marble with rainfall showers, two of them with outdoor showers, and one opening onto the garden.
Plum Bay and Baie Rouge are both a short drive away, the airport is about fifteen minutes by car, and Grand Case is roughly twenty-five minutes north, where we send guests to Sol e Luna, a romantic restaurant set in a garden. Ask, and a chef and a full kitchen are ready for the day you arrive. At $5,900 a week in low season for all three bedrooms, La Favorita is the one for guests who want a house with real character, the Moroccan touches and the long infinity pool, plus a shallow plunge pool that keeps the youngest swimmers happy.
