Villa Mongoose Run sits on a quiet hillside in Terres Basses with panoramic views over the Caribbean. It is a three-bedroom house built for a small group, a family, friends, or a couple, who want the neighborhood's calm and a view to match.
Each of the three bedrooms has its own en-suite bathroom and private access, so everyone keeps their own space. The master is the pick of them, with a secluded terrace and sea views, the kind of spot for a first coffee or a last drink.
The open living area runs out to a large terrace that does most of the living: a dining area for group meals, loungers around the pool, and the sea filling the view. One level up, an upper terrace catches the sunset, which is where guests tend to gather at the end of the day.
What Mongoose Run adds at this size is a proper gym, so a workout does not mean leaving the house, along with a full kitchen for guests who like to cook. Terres Basses keeps everything gated and quiet, a short drive from Baie Rouge and Plum Bay. Princess Juliana Airport is about fifteen minutes by car, and Grand Case is roughly twenty-five minutes north.
For dinner out, we send guests to La Main a la Pate on the Marigot marina, about ten minutes away. If you would rather not cook, a chef and the groceries can be handled ahead of time. At $4,900 a week in low season for all three bedrooms, Mongoose Run gives a small group two things most houses its size skip: a proper gym and an upper terrace that catches the sunset.

- Rates are per week in US dollars, plus 10% tax and service. A deposit holds the dates; the balance is due before arrival.

- The French side uses euros and European 220V sockets, so bring an adapter for US plugs. US dollars and cards are widely accepted.
- Terres Basses is residential and gated: for groceries and most restaurants you drive out to Marigot, Simpson Bay or Grand Case, or have a chef come to the villa.
- A rental car is the easiest way to get around; driving is on the right on both sides of the island.
