Villa Aqua Dream is a six-bedroom house in the gated Indigo Bay community on the Dutch southwest coast, built in a clean, minimalist style with the Caribbean filling the windows. It rents from four to six bedrooms and suits a group that wants modern lines and a quiet, private setting.
The architecture is all clean lines and open space, with the living area running out to a terrace where the infinity pool reads as though it joins the sea. Lounge areas and a shaded dining space make the terrace the center of the day, set up for long lunches and sunsets over the water.
The six bedrooms are spread across three levels, each en-suite, which gives everyone their own distance in a house this size. The master steps it up with a large bath and wide ocean views.
For a bigger group, Aqua Dream pairs with its sister villa, Aqua Vista, right next door and built in the same style, so two families or a large party can take both and still keep their own space. Both sit inside the same gated community for privacy.
Simpson Bay and Philipsburg are about ten minutes away, and the airport and Marigot around fifteen. Just below sits Indigo Beach, and for dinner out we send guests to the Indigo Beach restaurant, one of the more stylish beach tables on the Dutch side. The kitchen can be stocked and a chef or a table arranged before you land. At $10,500 a week in low season, Aqua Dream is the minimalist one, clean lines and an infinity pool over the sea, with its sister Aqua Vista next door for when the party outgrows one house.
