Villa L'Oasis

Villa L'Oasis is a six-bedroom house in Terres Basses built in the Greek Cycladic style, all whitewashed walls and rounded domes set high on a cliff above the Caribbean. It suits a large group or a multi-generational family who want something that looks nothing like the villa next door.

The design carries all the way through. Each of the six bedrooms has a king bed, a private terrace, and an en-suite bath with both an indoor and an outdoor shower, and the sea is in view from every room. With space for twelve, it works for two or three families traveling together without anyone feeling on top of anyone else.

There are two pools, which is unusual even at this level. The main infinity pool sits at the top of the property with an open view straight out to sea, and a second pool waits down at beach level for the guests who want to be closer to the water. Both are heated from mid-December through mid-April, so the winter travelers get the same swim as the summer ones.

A private chef works the kitchen, so dinners can happen at the villa on the long terrace without anyone lifting a pan. When the group wants a night in together, the media room and its big screen handle it, and the rooftop terrace is the spot for a last drink under the stars. There is a jacuzzi and a gym, and spa treatments can be arranged at the house.

The cliff also gives the villa its own path down to the beach below, so the sand is private in practice even when the pools win most days.
