Riviera's draw is how much there is to do without leaving. The grounds hold a tennis court, a volleyball court, and a petanque court, so an afternoon can go competitive, then straight back to the pool. The living spaces are open and full of light, opening onto landscaped gardens with the ocean beyond.
The six bedrooms all have king beds and en-suite bathrooms. The master is the one to claim: it has its own outdoor bath, set in tropical greenery, a private spot to soak in the open air. A full kitchen suits guests who cook, with a private chef available for the nights they would rather not.
The house comes properly looked after, with daily housekeeping (except Sundays and holidays), a pool attendant, and a gardener keeping the grounds in shape. Plum Bay is the beach at the end of the path, and Baie Rouge and Baie Longue are a short drive.
For dinner out, we send guests to La Cigale on Baie Nettle, right on the lagoon about ten minutes away. Princess Juliana Airport is about fifteen minutes by car, and Grand Case is roughly twenty-five minutes north. Ask ahead and the chef is booked and the kitchen stocked for arrival. At $22,000 a week in low season for all six bedrooms, Riviera is the one with its own beach path and three courts to fill an afternoon, plus a master bath set out in the open air.
