Villa Coco Paillette is a recently renovated four-bedroom villa in Terres Basses, set close to both Plum Bay and Baie Longue, two of the best beaches on the island. It suits families and groups who want a fresh, modern house within a few minutes of the sand.
The four bedrooms give a family real flexibility. Two of them interconnect, which is the setup parents look for when children are small, and the master opens to king-size comfort with the pool in view from the bed. The house can be booked as two, three, or four bedrooms, so a couple can take it small or a full group can fill it.
The living space is the heart of Coco Paillette, with high vaulted ceilings and tall glass doors that fold the terrace into the room. The kitchen was built for someone who actually cooks, with a wide island and full-size appliances, and the dining table sits close enough to keep the cook in the conversation.
Outside, the terrace runs along a private pool edged with loungers and low garden planting, with a covered lounge for the hours when the sun is high. It is an easy place to lose an afternoon.
For dinner, Mario's Bistro sits just down the road at The Cliff in Cupecoy, chef Mario Tardif's long-running European kitchen and one of the more reliable fine tables on this side of the island. Our concierge can book it, along with a private chef at the villa on the nights you would rather stay in.
Low-season weeks start at $4,200 for two bedrooms and reach $5,600 for the full four. The house makes its case quietly: the vaulted ceiling overhead, the interconnecting rooms for the kids, and the pool a few minutes from two of the island's finest beaches.

Good to know
- Check-in from 4:00 PM, check-out by 10:00 AM. Earlier arrivals can sometimes be arranged.

- Terres Basses is residential and gated: for groceries and most restaurants you drive out to Marigot, Simpson Bay or Grand Case, or have a chef come to the villa.
- A rental car is the easiest way to get around; driving is on the right on both sides of the island.
