Villa Giselle is a modern five-bedroom house in the gated Terres Basses community, an eight-minute walk from Plum Bay, one of the quieter beaches on the island. It sleeps up to eleven and rents from three to five bedrooms, which makes it a straightforward pick for a family or a group of friends.
Four of the five bedrooms sit on the main level, each en-suite and facing the ocean, so most of the house wakes up to the sea. The fifth is on the lower level with a sea view and its own kitchenette, a quieter corner for whoever wants more independence.
The living space is open and runs straight out to the terrace, where a heated infinity pool takes the center. It is warmed from mid-October to mid-April, a real plus for a winter trip, and set to look out over the water for a swim or a sunset cocktail.
Being a short walk from Plum Bay is the real draw: close enough to leave the car and wander down, with the long west-facing sunsets this end of the island gets. A hot tub and BBQ round out the outdoor side.
Princess Juliana Airport is about fifteen minutes by car, and Grand Case is roughly twenty-five minutes north. For dinner out, we send guests to Chez Coco, a lolo on the Marigot waterfront about ten minutes away. Let us know ahead and the fridge will be full and a cook on call for the week. At $8,000 a week in low season for all five bedrooms, Giselle earns its keep two ways: the beach eight minutes away on foot, and a pool that stays warm right through the winter.
