About Villa Karukera
Villa Karukera is a four-bedroom villa on the Orient Bay heights with a 180-degree view over the bay, Anguilla, and St Barths, an infinity pool, and a separate bungalow bedroom with its own kitchenette. Rentable as three or four bedrooms.
Villa Karukera sits on the heights above Orient Bay, on the island's east coast, with a 180-degree view that takes in the bay, Anguilla, and St Barths on the horizon. It is a four-bedroom house, recently renovated, that rents as three or four bedrooms and suits a family or a couple who want the view without being down in the beach crowd.
The free-form infinity pool runs toward the sea off a wide sun deck, with a gazebo set to catch the breeze and the view across to Green Cay, Pinel, and Tintamarre. Three of the bedrooms open onto the pool terrace, each with an outdoor shower, and the master adds its own private jacuzzi.
The fourth bedroom is the interesting one: it sits in a separate bungalow a few steps from the main house, with its own terrace and a kitchenette, so a couple or a set of grandparents can have their own quarters without leaving the property.
Inside, the living and dining space is open and bright, opening to the covered dining pavilion by the kitchen. There is a sauna as well. Because the house faces east, the day starts with the sunrise coming up over the bay.
Orient Bay Beach, two miles of sand with beach clubs and calm water, is about a three-minute drive down the hill. For dinner out, we send guests to Bikini Beach, right on the sand. Grand Case is roughly twelve minutes north, and Princess Juliana Airport is around twenty-five minutes by car. Ask us to line up a chef, hold a table down on the beach, or reserve loungers before you arrive. At $6,195 a week in low season for all four bedrooms, Karukera is the Orient Bay pick when you want the wide view from the heights and a separate bungalow for the couple who want their own door.

Good to know
- Check-in from 4:00 PM, check-out by 10:00 AM. Earlier arrivals can sometimes be arranged.
- Rates are per week in US dollars, plus 10% tax and service. A deposit holds the dates; the balance is due before arrival.
- House rules, the security deposit and cancellation terms are set out in the rental agreement for this villa. Parties and events always need the owner's approval in advance.
- The French side uses euros and European 220V sockets, so bring an adapter for US plugs. US dollars and cards are widely accepted.
- Orient Bay faces the Atlantic, and in some months, mostly spring to late summer, sargassum seaweed can wash up on the beach. The west-coast beaches are usually clear then.
- A rental car is the easiest way to get around; driving is on the right on both sides of the island.
