The infinity pool is the center of the outdoor space, heated from mid-October to mid-April so it stays comfortable through the cooler months, and set into landscaped grounds that run out toward the sea. A wide terrace handles sunbathing and outdoor meals, and the kitchen has the ocean in the window while you cook.
Three of the four bedrooms look over the pool and the ocean, each en-suite and air-conditioned. The fourth faces the garden and has its own private terrace, a quieter corner for whoever wants it.
Because the house faces east, the day starts with the sunrise over the bay, and the reserve below keeps the outlook green and undeveloped. It is a calm, private base a few minutes above one of the island's best beaches.
Orient Bay Beach, with its clear water and water sports, is about a three-minute drive down the hill. For dinner out, we send guests to L'Atelier, near the beach. Grand Case is roughly twelve minutes north, and Princess Juliana Airport is around twenty-five minutes by car. We can bring in a chef or hold a table down at Orient Bay before you arrive. At $6,195 a week in low season for all four bedrooms, Ocean's One trades on the outlook: a heated pool, the green of the Orient Bay reserve below, and the sunrise coming up over Pinel and Tintamarre.
