Villa La Siesta sits on a hillside in Terres Basses with an unusually wide outlook: from the terrace you take in Anguilla out to sea, Marigot Bay, and the Simpson Bay Lagoon, three different views from one spot. It is a five-bedroom house, a short walk from Baie Rouge, for a family or a group.
The terrace is the heart of it. The pool has a shallow end, which makes it easy for younger swimmers or a lazy afternoon, and a glazed screen runs along the deck to cut the breeze without blocking the view, so the outdoor space stays comfortable even when the trade winds pick up.
Inside, the style leans traditional-island with a modern hand, warm Caribbean tones in airy rooms. Three of the five bedrooms open directly onto the pool terrace, and two more sit on the lower level for a bit more quiet. Each is en-suite.
Baie Rouge, a wide beach with calm morning water, is a short walk down, and the west-facing hillside catches the long sunsets this side gets. The house can also drop to three bedrooms for a smaller group.
Princess Juliana Airport is about fifteen minutes by car, and Grand Case is roughly twenty-five minutes north, where we send guests to Le Cottage. Marigot is about ten minutes the other way. If meals are the last thing you want to plan, we will sort the groceries and a cook in advance. At $7,420 a week in low season for all five bedrooms, La Siesta is the rare villa that hands you three separate views from one terrace, over a pool built for the kids and the wind alike.
