Villa Mille Fleurs – Luxury Villa in Terres Basses, Sint Maarten

Villa Mille Fleurs sits on two and a half acres of landscaped grounds above Plum Bay in the gated Terres Basses community, with a wide-open outlook: the Caribbean on one side, the Atlantic on the other, and Saba and Anguilla out on the horizon. It is a four-bedroom house that rents as three or four bedrooms.

The grounds are the luxury here, the space and the quiet more than the square footage. The pool sits secluded among greenery with the ocean beyond, a private spot rather than a showpiece, which suits the villa's romantic lean for a couple as much as a family.

The master bedroom is the standout, with a king antique four-poster bed and a separate dressing area, a room with a bit of history to it. The three guest bedrooms are each en-suite, quiet retreats after a day out.

Plum Bay is a five-minute walk down, and the villa provides beach chairs, umbrellas, and coolers, so packing a picnic and heading to the sand is the easiest thing in the world. The central position also puts Marigot, Simpson Bay, the Cupecoy and Maho casinos, and the Mullet Bay golf course all within reach.

Princess Juliana Airport is about fifteen minutes by car, and Grand Case is roughly twenty-five minutes north. For dinner out, we send guests to Le Sand on Baie Nettle, a beachfront table a few minutes away. If shopping and cooking are not how you want to spend the week, we will handle the groceries and a chef in advance. At $7,000 a week in low season for all four bedrooms, Mille Fleurs is really about the space: two and a half acres, four islands on the horizon, an antique four-poster to claim, and Plum Bay five minutes down through the grounds.
