About Villa Monte Verde
Villa Monte Verde is a four-bedroom hilltop villa above Orient Bay, with an infinity pool, panoramic ocean views, and all four bedrooms opening onto the pool terrace. Rentable as three or four bedrooms.
Villa Monte Verde sits on the hillside above Orient Bay, on the island's east coast, with panoramic views over the water below. It is a four-bedroom house that rents as three or four bedrooms, and it suits a couple or a small family who want the Orient Bay side without being down in the middle of the beach scene.
All four bedrooms open onto the pool terrace, so every room gets the ocean view, and some come with their own outdoor shower. Each has an en-suite bathroom. The living space is open and light, and the whole thing runs out to a terrace where the view does most of the work.
The infinity pool is set at the edge of the terrace, lined up with the horizon, with room to lounge and an outdoor dining area and BBQ alongside. A Bose sound system covers the living room for slower evenings in.
Orient Bay Beach, two miles of sand with beach clubs and calm water, is about five minutes down the hill. For dinner out, we send guests to Le Piment, a French-Caribbean kitchen near the beach. Grand Case is roughly twelve minutes north, and Princess Juliana Airport is around twenty-five minutes by car.
Ask ahead and a cook, or loungers and a table on the beach, can be arranged. At $6,435 a week in low season for all four bedrooms, Monte Verde is the east-coast pick for a small group: all four rooms opening onto the pool and the sunrise, and Orient Bay five minutes down the hill.

Good to know
- Check-in from 4:00 PM, check-out by 10:00 AM. Earlier arrivals can sometimes be arranged.
- Rates are per week in US dollars, plus 10% tax and service. A deposit holds the dates; the balance is due before arrival.
- House rules, the security deposit and cancellation terms are set out in the rental agreement for this villa. Parties and events always need the owner's approval in advance.
- The French side uses euros and European 220V sockets, so bring an adapter for US plugs. US dollars and cards are widely accepted.
- Orient Bay faces the Atlantic, and in some months, mostly spring to late summer, sargassum seaweed can wash up on the beach. The west-coast beaches are usually clear then.
- A rental car is the easiest way to get around; driving is on the right on both sides of the island.
