Villa Nuit Jade – Luxury Villa in Terres Basses, Sint Maarten

Few villa pools on Sint Maarten stop you in your tracks the way the one at Villa Nuit Jade does. Set on a large teak deck with the land falling away sharply below, the heated infinity pool seems to pour straight into the Atlantic horizon. A built-in fire pit and lounge anchor one end, and on the other the open terrace and its outdoor bar run the full width of the villa, shaded just enough to make a long lunch comfortable. It is a five-bedroom house for up to ten, and rents as four or five bedrooms.

The interior matches the ambition of the deck: a bright open living room joined to the terrace through frameless glass, a fully equipped kitchen, and a long dining table beside the bar. Five bedrooms, each en-suite, split across two wings. Four sit on the main level, two with direct pool access and sea views and two opening to private garden terraces with outdoor showers. The fifth is a self-contained studio, reached only from outside, with its own kitchen, living area, bedroom with dressing room, and private jacuzzi terrace, the kind of arrangement that makes multi-generational travel genuinely work.

The pool is heated from mid-October through mid-April; the rest of the year the Caribbean does the job. A petanque court rounds out the grounds at Nuit Jade, and the beaches of Terres Basses are a three-minute walk in either direction.

Low-season weeks start at $7,700 for four bedrooms and $8,750 for all five. The evening belongs to the deck: the fire pit lit, a drink at the outdoor bar, the pool's edge dissolving into the dark Atlantic beyond.
