Villa Truffle sits on one of the higher clifftops in Terres Basses, a five-bedroom house with the Caribbean dropping away below it and Anguilla on the horizon. It suits honeymooners, a family, or a group of friends, and rents from two up to five bedrooms.
The heated infinity pool is the centerpiece, set right at the cliff edge so the water looks like it runs off into the sea. It is warm enough for a swim at any time of year, which matters for a winter trip, and the sun deck and shaded lounge around it take the day from morning coffee to sunset drinks.
Inside, the great room opens through floor-to-ceiling glass so the ocean is in view from wherever you stand. The kitchen is set up for real cooking or for a private chef, and the dining pavilion outside handles dinner under the stars.
All five bedrooms have king beds, en-suite bathrooms, and their own terrace or balcony, so every guest wakes up to the same sea view. Because the house faces west over the water, the sunsets are the ones a clifftop gets.
Grand Case and its restaurants are a short drive north, and we send guests to Ocean 82 for a table on the water. Marigot is close for markets and cafes, and Baie Rouge and Plum Bay are both nearby. The kitchen can be provisioned and a chef arranged before you land. At $14,000 a week in low season for all five bedrooms, Truffle is the clifftop one: the pool set at the very edge, the drop to the sea below it, and a private terrace off every bedroom.
